The return of the FRESHMAN!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!

Like the return of the Swallows to Capistrano, the freshman and flocking and returning to campus. DOOM DOOM DOOM!
Why do I feel such angst towards kids who were going to prom two months ago? Well, that question should answer itself. Some freshman are very sweet, endearing, and humble, these newbies are great!
What drives me nuts, and all librarians are the smug, barely 18 year-olds who still belong in high school. I just gave directions to a very annoyed future freshman, who obliviously had no idea where to go. Instead of listening to the directions she got annoyed and said "No". This happens a lot with the new students. I give them directions or help them to find a difficult book and they will tell us "No, you are wrong". Obviously they have no idea what they are doing, but they still have such an attitude that they have to disagree.
They are the "High School Musical" generation! Way more tough they the grunge rock,Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Marylin Manson, Beastie Boys, Biggie Smalls generation, sheesh!"Wait, who is Kirk Cobain?", "Who is Mr. T?", "What is a David Bowie? Was he in "Twilight"??"
Come on young grasshoppers! Face it, you are at the absolute bottom of life's totem pole now, and you need to accept it!
If someone helps you out, don't try teenage rebellion!
