Some progress? I'm in too much pain not to see some difference...

And the Lord said, let there be wood, and there was finally wood underneath the 20+ years of hardened paint and tape!

Paint is not a bad thing. Infact it will likely increase the value of the house at re-sale.It makes things look fresh an crisp when you put a new coat of paint on. They do sell paint that is low VOC paint if you are going "green". At this rate it is going to take you forever!! You should get Kilz primer and just repaint.

You're awesome. You're young. Do what you want. You'll learn lots of lessons along the way.

Yes.. Young and first time home renovator.... if this is the only room knock yourself out. If you are doing the whole house... use caution how much sanding and stripping of the old you want to do. Trust me I have learned...Renovating a home takes a whole lot of time. I have done it.

I wouldn't pour to much blood sweat in tears into it...if its not your own house. Because you don't get any return on the investment. Other then you get to live in it temporarily.

Thanks for the advice but the paint has been stripped, so ha ha! Once we got a hold of two power sanders it was fast. Helping fix the house means my rent is way lower and besides,
I enjoy it!

I after a really hard day cooped up inside the library I love to be outside gardening or working on this house. It takes a lot of time and energy, but I'm not planning on moving anytime soon.

Hey it is waaaaaay better than therapy! You all have hobbies too! It's still cheaper and it lasts way longer than shopping!
